Biography

2016: Started in 10 of the 11 games she appeared in. Garza had two shots on goal out of her three shots attempted.

2015: Started all 15 games she appeared in. Scored one goal on the season against Northwood (Oct. 25). Recorded one assist at Tiffin (Oct. 11).

2014: Appeared in one game.

2013: Started in all 18 games. Scored one goal on the season against Malone (Nov. 3). Recorded three assists for a total of five points. 

2012:  Lettered for the first time. Started all 17 games. Scored two goals on the season. First career-goal was the game-winning goal at Minnesota-Crookston (Sept. 3). Scored at Northwood (Oct. 5). Named the team’s newcomer of the year.

Before NMU: Lettered four times under Jim Flore at Williamston High School. All-league all four years. All-district in 2010, 2011, 2012. All-region in 2011 and 2012. All-state honorable mention as a junior. All-state first team as a senior. Holds the school record in career assists for a season. Team captain senior year. As a sophomore, team made it to the state finals.

Personal:  A 2012 graduate of Williamston High School. Construction management major. Mother attended NMU (1982-83). Daughter of Julie and Dean Garza. Born on February 17, 1994.
