Biography

2016: Started in 10 of her 18 games played this season. Villarruel had three goals totaling her points to six on the season. She had 11 shots on goal with a total of 16 shots attempted.

2015: Started all 17 games she appeared in. Recorded three goals and three assists on the season. Second on the team in both shots on goal (16) and points (9).

2014: Named the team's Most Improved after starting all 18 games of the season.  Ranked second on the team with six goals and 13 points.  Scored two goals against Lake Erie (Oct. 10). Was second on the team with 19 shots on goal.

2013: Appeared in all 18 games, started 11. Had her first career goal against Bemidji State (Sept. 15). She also had five assists on the season, good for second on the squad. Third on team in points with seven.

Before NMU:  Lettered four times under Andy Steger. Named to the all-state team. Two-time all-area selection. Two-time first team all-conference. Second team all-conference as a sophomore. Team was state runner-up in 2012, state semi-finalists in 2013 and three-time conference champs.

Personal:  A 2013 graduate of De Pere High School. Enjoys playing soccer, rollerblading and hanging out with friends. Majoring in nursing. Daughter of Ben and Clare Villarruel. Born on June 1, 1995.
