Lindsey (LeMay) Majkrzak took over leadership of the Wildcats lacrosse program prior to the 2020 season. 

In the 2025 season, LeMay led the 'Cats to a third consecutive GLIAC Championship appearance. The team earned many awards, including Josie Lakosky being named GLIAC Attacker of the Year and IWLCA All-Region second team athlete, six earning all-conference team honors, three named to the All-GLIAC tournament team, 18 earning all-conference academic honors, Katelyn Wozney earning NMU female newcomer of the year, and Taylor Priestley earning the IWLCA Community Awareness Award.

In the 2024 season, LeMay guided the Wildcats to a second consecutive GLIAC Championship appearance and set a program-high 14 wins in a season, with an overall record of 14-5. Under LeMay, the Wildcats were named IWLCA Academic Honor Squad with eight earning Academic Honor Roll status. Minnie Bittell earned her second-consecutive GLIAC Commissioners award, was named to the IWLCA Senior All-Star Team, was named First Team All-Region Attacker. Josie Lakosky earned GLIAC Freshman of the Year honors, and eight total earned All-GLIAC honors, with three being named to the All-GLIAC tournament team. 

In the 2023 season, LeMay earned the GLIAC Coach of the Year as she led the Wildcats to a program-high 11 wins with an overall record of 11-7, along with earning a program-first GLIAC Tournament win and a GLIAC Championship appearance. The Wildcats set multiple single-season records, including the most wins (11), best-winning percentage (.612), and most goals (232), assists (79), points (311), and draw controls (260). Under coach LeMay, Minnie Bittell set a plethora of records, most notably career records in goals, assists, and points. Lauryn Rygiel earned GLIAC Defender of the Year and was named to the Midwest All-Region First Team, Hannah Melander was the conference Freshman of the Year, three earned First Team All-GLIAC honors with three more earning Second Team All-GLIAC honors, as well as two honorable mentions. The team excelled in the classroom, with 17 total student-athletes earning spots on the 2022-23 GLIAC All-Academic Team.

In 2022, the 'Cats went 9-8, posting the most wins in program history. NMU saw a record six student-athletes make the All-GLIAC teams. LeMay coached sophomore Madeline Bittell, who set several records, including goals (52), points (71), shots (124), and shots on goal (90). Bittell was also named GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week while teammate Aliyah Smukala claimed Defensive Player of the Week honors alongside Bittell. 

The 2021 season saw a new level of success for LeMay's Wildcats. The team concluded the season with a program-best 6-8 overall record and a 4-4 GLIAC mark. LeMay had five student-athletes named All-GLIAC including the first lacrosse Wildcats to be named to the First and Second Team. NMU also had the program's first GLIAC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards won in the 2020-21 season. Freshman Madeline Bittell broke the school season records in assists (19) and draw controls (85) while tying for first in points (49) during the season.

In her first season leading the team in 2020, the team posted a 2-3 record before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She collected her first career win against Lewis University, defeating the Flyers 15-4. The team then defeated Quincy University 16-4. The 2-1 start to the 2020 season is the best start in program history.

LeMay came to Northern Michigan after serving as the Assistant Coach at Wartburg College. With the Knights, LeMay collaborated with the Head Coach in the daily practice planning process and helped create the offensive strategy. She also worked with the draw specialists on strategy and technique resulting in one of Wartburg's student-athletes leading the MWLCA in draw controls.

Prior to heading to Wartburg, she worked with the Corvallis High School team as the Varsity Associate Head Coach and helped develop players who went on to Division II and Division III playing careers. Her efforts aided the team to League Championships in both 2015 and 2018.

"Lindsey demonstrated well-thought-out recruiting and student-athlete development plans that will keep our fourth-year program moving in the right direction. People who have worked with Lindsey say that she is very knowledgeable, prioritizes the academic success of student-athletes, and has a natural gift for connecting with people."

She competed at the Division I Women's Lacrosse level for the University of Oregon. LeMay earned an English Literature degree from Oregon State University.
