• A true NMU legacy in the family: mother Jill (Gobert) VanDamme was a three-year starter and 1,243-point scorer for the Wildcats, an All-American and member of the 1997-98 GLIAC champion and NCAA Division II Final Four team, and a U.P. Sports Hall of Fame inductee; father Casey VanDamme played golf at NMU, ranks 3rd all-time for lowest 18-hole score, and later competed on the Hooters/NGA Tour
