Biography
2021-22 (Senior): Skated in 35 of 37 games for the Wildcats in the 2021-22 season….posted a total of 16 points with six goals and 10 assists…netted a season-high two goals against No.1 ranked Minnesota Duluth (12/03/21) in a crucial sweep for the Wildcats…posted three assists against Ferris State (11/20/21).
2020-21 (Junior): Competed in 26 contests for the Wildcats in 2020-21 … recorded 12 points off seven goals and five assists … opened the season on a four-game point-streak, netting four goals and an assist in the run … scored two goals in the team’s 6-5 overtime victory against FSU (12/30/21) … named to the WCHA All-Academic team.
2019-20 (Sophomore): One of just three sophomores to play in all 38 games of the season ... Totaling 28 points off 15 goals and 13 assists, de Mey finished third in points and tied for second in both assists and goals ... Started off the season with a goal and an assist against Michigan State (Oct. 11) ... Earned his first career hat trick vs. Alaska Anchorage, January 11 ... Posted three games with a career-high three points and recorded five multi-point nights ... Netted a short-handed goal vs. Alaska Anchorage ... Nominated for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award ... Was named WCHA Forward of the Week on four occasions as well as earning the league's Forward of the Month honor through the first month of the season ... Earned WCHA All-Academic honors.
2018-19 (Freshman): Dressed in 29 games for the Wildcats during his rookie campaign … Made his debut with the Wildcats at Michigan State (Oct. 12, 2018) … Scored his first collegiate goal and point against Alaska Anchorage (Nov. 16, 2018) … Had a career-long two-game point and goal-streak during their first round WCHA playoff series against Alaska (2-0-2; March 8-9) … Netted the game-winning goal in a 4-2 victory at Michigan Tech (March 1, 2019).
BEFORE NMU: Spent 55 games with Muskegon of the USHL in 2017-18... recorded a plus/minus rating of +16 after recording 20 games and 17 assists... spent 2016-17 with Madison of the USHL recording 12 goals and four assists ... son of Jorgen and Angel de Mey ... has a sister, Emma ... from Los Angeles, California ... plans to study Business Management.
