Clarke enters his first season with the Wildcats in 2026. He and his wife, Georgianna, are both from the south and are looking forward to bringing a foundation of faith, leadership, and a pursuit of excellence to the UP. Clarke has a strong background in versatility on the offensive side of the ball. Coach Clarke brings energy, a great work ethic, extensive recruiting experience, and valuable offensive experience to the Wildcats' offense.
Prior to joining Northern Michigan, Clarke served as the Asst. Wide Receivers Coach at the University of West Florida during the 2025 season. During that time, the Argonauts finished the season at 10-2, co-sharing a conference title, and an NCAA 2nd Round playoff appearance. The Argonaut offense finished as a top-5 offense in total offense, top-5 in Red-Zone Offense, and top-8 finishes in Total Yards (#1), Yards Per Game (#7), Touchdowns (#8), and Red-Zone Scores (#5).Â
Before his road to coaching in college football, Clarke was the Quarterbacks coach at Ridgeland High School in 2022 (MS). A year later, he was promoted at Clinton Christian (MS) to the youngest Offensive Coordinator ever hired in the state of Mississippi at age 20. In 2023, the Warriors finished with a 6-5 record and earned their first playoff win in school history. The following season, Clarke began his NCAA coaching journey as a graduate assistant and position coach (TE's) at Belhaven University. After Belhaven's spring ball concluded in 2025, the University of West Florida brought Clarke on board to help coach the Wide Receivers and assist the prominent Head Coach Kaleb Nobles & Offensive Coordinator Donny Baker.Â
During his time as a coach, Clarke has helped student-athletes reach their goals in the classroom and on the field. His resume of development with athletes includes sending prospects to LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Memphis, Arkansas, James Madison University, and various junior colleges in Mississippi. Â
A native of Rideland, Mississippi, Clarke earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi in 2024. Clarke and his wife, Georgianna, met on a blind date while together at Ole Miss. Â His mom and grandmother still live in Ridgeland, MS, and his younger brother John attends the University of Mississippi.Â
