Prior to his time in Alamosa, Colo., Lindquist served a four-year stint on the staff at Michigan Tech, first as a graduate assistant, and then a two-year stay as the special teams coordinator for the Huskies. Michigan Tech recorded 24 wins with Lindquist on the staff, including an 8-2 clip in 2010 that resulted in a runner-up finish in the GLIAC.
Michigan Tech, twice, ranked among the nation’s top 25 teams in kickoff return average during Lindquist’s time in Houghton, Mich., including the 2010 season in which it finished in a tie for 14th, nationally, with 23.9 yards per return. Lindquist also coached a pair of all-Americans at Michigan Tech, including 2010 GLIAC Offensive Back of the Year and Harlon Hill finalist Phil Mibrath.
A three-time Academic All-RMAC selection at Adams State, Lindquist threw for 2,005 yards and 15 touchdowns on 144-of-304 passing as a starter for the Grizzlies in 2006 and 2007. His senior campaign in 2007 included a pair of 3-touchdown days against New Mexico Highlands and Nebraska-Kearney. He also threw three touchdown strikes against New Mexico Highlands as a junior as well.
