Ahmed Saleh

Ahmed Saleh joined the NMU coaching staff in 2023, working as a Defensive Assistant / Safeties Coach. 

From 2021-22, Saleh served as the Defensive Coordinator at Dearborn Fordson. He has assisted with the development of several players who would go on to play in the NFL. Three players have earned conference honors while he was at Madonna University as the Defensive Backs / Special Teams Coordinator from 2020-21. Saleh earned a Bill Walsh Fellowship opportunity with the San Francisco 49ers where he gained experience coaching in one the top defenses in the NFL in 2021.
 
A native of Dearborn, Michigan, he enjoys weightlifting, golfing and basketball. His uncles Joe “Doc” Saleh and Mike Berry were standout defenders on the 1975 National Championship team. He is also the cousin of NMU alum and current New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh.
