2021: Appeared in 10 games. He made 12 tackles in a single game during Northwood which was his most per game. He finished the season with 5o tackles. He had one interception at Saginaw Valley and recovered one fumble against Wayne State. 

2019: Appeared in all 10 games of his first season at NMU. Finished the year with 35 total tackles. Tallied 22 solo tackles and 13 assisted tackles. Had an interception against McKendree and returned it 38 yards. Forced a fumble against Ferris State. Recovered a fumble against Wayne State. 11 total tackles against Wayne State.

Before NMU: Played football and basketball for Warren Township High School. All-Conference selection. Winner of the Warren Township Varsity Football Award.

Personal: Son of Dante' McCarthy and Nakeisha Ferguson. Born November 18, 2000. Pre-Physical Therapy major.
