2012:  Redshirted.

High School:  Lettered twice at Lincoln High School under coach Dixon as a free safety. All-conference second team and all-area. Team went 11-1 during senior year. Also lettered four times in swimming, and was an honorable mention selection and a state qualifier. 

Personal:  Majoring in chemistry. Enjoys football, lifting and swimming. Father Mike played football for NMU. Son of Mike and Lisa Nichols. Born on June 20, 1994.
