Biography

2018: Served as a team captain while appearing in 11 games. Finished second on the team with 79 total tackles, with 5.5 tackles for loss. Recorded a sack and an interception against Michigan Tech. Had an interception against Ferris State. One forced fumble and four pass breakups. Named to the All-GLIAC Honorable Mention Team.

2017: Started all 10 games, and finished third on the team with 79 total tackles. Two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. One pass break-up and an assisted tackle for a loss of two yards. Named to the All-GLIAC Honorable Mention team.

2016: Appeared in nine games.  Tallied 23 tackles including 17 solo. Recorded his first interception against Walsh.  Notched a tackle for loss against Saginaw Valley.  

Before NMU: Served as captain three years. Took home all-area and all-conference honors. Also a member of his school's leadership council and an honor roll student.

Personal: Son of Andre and Ann Mayon.
