2012: Lettered for the second time after appearing in all 32 matches and 123 sets. GLIAC Honorable Mention selection. Named the team’s Most Improved Player. Second on the team with 360 kills, averaging 2.93 per set. Second on the team in total blocks with 83. Recorded double digit kills in 20 matches, including a career-high 23 kills at Walsh (Oct. 6). Had 12 digs and five service aces at Malone (Oct. 5). Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team.
2011: Appeared in 28 matches and 93 sets to earn second letter. Received team’s Most Improved Award. Second on the team with 52 blocks and fourth with 159 kills. Recorded a season-high 14 kills vs. Northwood (Oct. 29) and Wayne State (Nov. 4). Had four digs vs. Saginaw Valley (Sept. 9) and Wayne State. Tallied five block assists against vs. Ferris State (Sept. 11), at Northwood (Oct. 24) and vs. Wayne State.
2010: Lettered for the first time after appearing in 22 matches and 76 sets. Had 130 kills and 56 total blocks. Had 11 kills against both Ohio Dominican (Oct. 9) and Rockhurst (Oct. 15). Recorded five digs against Grand Valley (Nov. 13) and eight block assists against Rockhurst.
Before NMU: Lettered three times at LaSalle-Peru Twp. High School under Mark Haberkorn. Played middle. Senior year was News Tribune Player of the Year, all-conference, most kills per match with 13.3. Team was elite eight runner-up, regional and conference champs with a team record of 33-3-1. Also participated in softball and basketball. Played for club Illinois Valley Volley Power and Illini Elite Illini Elite finished fifth at AAU Championships in Florida.
Personal: Likes to play sports and spend time with friends/family. Daughter of Mary Beth and Jeff Herron. Majoring in speech, language and hearing sciences. Born on July 11, 1992.
