High School: Lettered three times at Jacobs High School under Bill Mitz. Was a two-time all-area and all-conference selections.  Also ran track, and made it to states in the 4x400 as a senior.

Personal: Enjoys fishing and lifting. Majoring in Business. Son of Amy and Tom Gierlak. Born on September 15, 1994.
