Biography

2017: Appeared and started 18 games between the posts en route to top-five finishes in a number of goalkeeper categories in the GLIAC. Torelli allowed 254 goals on the season for a 1.35 GAA, both of which were fourth-best in the league. His 60 saves and .714 save percentage were good enough for third and fourth-best in the GLIAC. Torelli’s 6-9-2 overall record tied for the fifth most wins in the conference and were also a career-high. The sophomore also had the fourth most shutouts in the GLIAC with four.

2016: Played 13 games, making five starts in net. Recorded a 1.73 goals against average, a .750 save percentage and 60 saves. Made a season-high 17 saves against Tiffin on Oct. 21. Also exceeded the five-save plateau against Saginaw Valley State on Sept. 30 (9), against Northwood on Oct. 2 (7), against Ashland on Oct. 7 (6) and at Walsh on Oct. 16 (6).

Before NMU: Torrelli joins the Wildcats from U.S. Audace, where he played under coach Luca Bucci. In 2012, he led his team to the regional youth finals. A highlight of his 2014-15 campaign was when he netted a goal off a header in the final minute of play.
