Biography

2015: Started all 11 games and led the team with 99 tackles, an average of nine per game. Also recorded one sack, two interceptions and six pass breakups. Posted at least 10 tackles in seven games, making a season-high 13 against No. 3 Ferris State Nov. 7. Named the team's Most Improved Defensive Player for the second-straight season.

2014: Appeared in all 11 games and finished with 63 tackles, the third most on the team. Ranked third on the team with 5.5 tackles for loss. Made 11 tackles against Northwood (Sept. 6) and Ferris State (Nov. 8). Also recovered a fumble against Ferris State. Named the team's Most Improved Defensive Player.

2013: Played in all 10 games and made seven tackles.

2012: Redshirted.

High School: Lettered two times at Allegan High School under Tony Danzig. Played quarterback, defensive back, punter and returner. All-area, all-county and all-conference. Also was an all-county and all-conference baseball player.

Personal:  Likes sports and outdoor activities. Majoring in marketing. Son of Lynn Johnson. Born on January 21, 1994.
