2011-12:  Lettered after appearing in 19 games. Recorded first collegiate point on an assist vs. Miami (Dec. 3).

Before NMU:  Played two seasons for Wenatchee of the North American Hockey League. Appeared in 109 games for the Wild, scoring 52 goals with 54 assists. Named Robertson Cup All-Tournament and team captain. Played a season for Des Moines of the United States Hockey League. Appeared in 56 games for the Buccaneers, scoring seven goals with nine assists.

Personal:  A 2008 graduate of Farmington Hills High School. Played baseball in high school. Likes to fish and golf. Majoring in accounting. Son of Dan and Robin Vandercook. Born on October 30, 1990.
