2014-15: Appeared in 19 games with 17 starts. Had a record of 4-11-2 with a .915 save percentage and 2.98 goals against average. Named to the WCHA All-Academic team. Recorded his first career shutout in a 5-0 win over Lake Superior State (Feb. 27).
2013-14: Started three games while appearing in a total of four games playing 161:19. Made 65 saves on the season. Earned his first career win in a 6-3 victory against Nebraska-Omaha (Oct. 19) making 19 saves. Saved 27 shots against Wisconsin (Oct. 12) in a 2-1 loss.
2012-13: Lettered for the first time. Appeared in five games, all on the road. Finished the season with a 2.91 goals against average and a 92.6 save percentage.
Before NMU: Played the 2011-12 season for the Huntsville Otters of the British Columbia Hockey League. Was 7-10-4 in 22 games with a 3.64 goals against average and a 90.5 save percentage. Also played for Lowichan Valley (BCHL), the Soo Thunderbirds (NOJHL) and the Soo Eagles (NOJHL). The Thunderbirds were the NOJHL regular season champs and was named team MVP and league’s goaltender award. Played goaltender for high school team and was team MVP and OFSSA MVP.
Personal: A 2009 graduate of St. Mary’s College. Likes going to the movies, listening to music and sports. Played high school basketball, football, soccer and ran track and field. Named city’s athlete of the year in 2009. Majoring in finance and risk management. Son of Michael and Nancy Doan. Born on August 24, 1991.
