About the 'Cats
The Wildcats have clinched postseason home court and will now look to enter the GLIAC Tournament with momentum. The Lakers and Rangers each clinched a postseason berth last weekend, and the two will both be on the road for the opening round of the tournament.

Jacy Weisbrod remains atop the national leaderboard for three-pointers per game (3.43). Her 96 made triples leads all of Division II and ranks second among all DII and DI players. Sarah Newcomer follows with an impressive 69 made threes. She ranks top-30 nationally in both made thres and three-point percentage.

CJ Romero holds a 2.2 assist/turnover ratio, the best in the conference, while her 4.3 assists per game rank second. She leads the way for a Wildcat group that is second nationally in turnovers per game (11.8) and 10th in assist/turnover ratio (1.22). Alyssa Hill is fourth throughout the league with 7.4 rebounds per game.

With recent wins over Purdue Northwest and Michigan Tech, Head Coach Casey Thousand surpassed the 200-career-win milestone, including 82 victories in four seasons leading Northern Michigan.

A Look at the Opponents
Roosevelt
Last weekend, the Lakers suffered a loss to Wayne State (94-73), but bounced back for a victory over Purdue Northwest (87-61), setting their record at 8-17 overall and 7-11 in the GLIAC. They are led by Marie Outlay, averaging 12.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. She has scored in double figures in 10 straight.

In the last meeting between the teams, the Wildcats edged Roosevelt with a final score of 83-82.

Parkside
The Parkside Rangers have won just as many as they've lost this season with an overall record of 13-13. The team has gone 8-10 in GLIAC play, seeing a recent victory over Purdue Northwest (77-65). Katie Hamill (14.0 points per game) and Cassidy Arni (13.9) present a formidable one-two punch. On the defensive side of the ball, Lillie Petersen is third in the GLIAC, averaging 7.7 rebounds. The Wildcats defeated the Rangers in a defensive battle back on Dec. 4, 56-48.
