MARQUETTE, Mich. - Under first-year head coach
Adam Wilson, the Northern Michigan women's wrestling team has announced its meets for the 2025-26 season, which will also mark the first as an associate member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC).
Once the calendar flips to November, the Green and Gold will begin their season on the 1st of the month at the Pointer Open hosted by UW-Stevens Point.
Northern will then make a trip to Michigan's Lower Peninsula the following week. On November 8, the 'Cats will take part in the Adrian Duals. Following on the 9th, the format will switch to tournament style for the Adrian Open.
The Wildcats will return to the Badger State on November 22 for the 8 Women Battle in Eau Claire.
NMU will head to Quincy, Illinois, for its first Conference Duals on December 7. The team will be right back in the Land of Lincoln the following weekend, participating in the North Central Invitational on December 14 in Naperville.
For the final meet in the 2025 calendar year, the Green and Gold will host their only home event of the season, the Northern Duals, on December 19.
On the 10th of January, the Wildcats will head to Tiffin, Ohio, for the Tiffin Duals. Northern will visit its fourth different state the following weekend when it heads to Mount Vernon, Iowa, for the Mike Duroe Invitational.
The second set of Conference Duals will take place on January 24 in Allendale, Michigan, hosted by Grand Valley State. To round out the month, NMU will return to Stevens Point, Wisconsin, for duals.
Regionals will take place from February 2,1 with the National Championships spanning March 6-7 in Coralville, Iowa.
