Josie Lakosky Earns IWLCA All-Region Honors

The GLIAC Attacker of the Year earns Midwest Region Second Team honors

MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has honored 128 student-athletes in Division II with a selection to one of the All-Region teams for 2025. Sophomore attacker Josie Lakosky has been selected on the Midwest Region Second Team.

The 2025 GLIAC Attacker of the Year and First Team All-Conference selection, Lakosky earns her first all-region selection after a spectacular sophomore campaign where she set career highs in almost every statistical categories while pacing the conference and among the leaders in the region in shots on goal per game (6.89, 1st in the region, 5th nationally), shots per game (9.00, 1st in the region, 7th nationally), goals (69, 3rd in the region and 14th nationally), FPGs per game (1.05, 4th in the region), points (91, 5th in the region), goals per game (3.63, 5th in the region), and points per game (4.79, 8th in the region).

Among the Midwest region's 32 selections across both the first and second teams, Lakosky is one of eight student-athletes who are a sophomore or freshman, and is the only student-athlete to represent a school other than Grand Valley from the GLIAC conference.

Lakosky is now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will announce the Division II 2025 All-American teams on May 21.
