MARQUETTE, Mich. – Power has been restored at the Physical Education Instructional Facility (PEIF), allowing Northern Michigan University to resume athletic competition at home.
As a result, the women's and men's basketball games against Davenport, originally scheduled for Jan. 1 and later moved to Jan. 4, will now be played on Friday, Jan. 2, at 1 and 3 p.m. at Vandament Arena. The Wildcats' home games against Grand Valley State will remain as scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 3, at 1 and 3 p.m.
The schedule adjustment was made in coordination with the GLIAC conference office to maintain competitive and scheduling balance among all teams involved this weekend.
Tickets purchased for the original Jan. 1 contests will be honored for the rescheduled Jan. 2 games.
