MARQUETTE, Mich. -
Makaylee Kuhn of the Northern Michigan women's basketball team has been named the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week following back-to-back 25-point performances in a pair of home wins over Parkside and Purdue Northwest this past week.
The Hilbert, Wisconsin native notched an impressive 25-point, 10-rebound double-double against Parkside while adding six assists. She then followed it up with 25 more points and six rebounds to lead the Wildcats past the Pride. She now leads the conference in scoring at 17.4 points/game and is fourth on the glass with 7.1 rebounds/game. Kuhn has scored in double figures in 13 straight games and 20/22 this season, as well as reached 20+ points in 10 games. Leading NMU to a 9-4 conference record thus far, the program's all-time leading scorer is currently at 1,853 career points.
Kuhn and the 'Cats return to the hardwood this Saturday, February 17th as they'll travel to Michigan Tech for a rivalry bout at 1 p.m. in Houghton.
