2024 Season Comes to a Close in Ashland

ASHLAND, Ohio - In a game that featured blutering wind, driving rain, and chilly temperatures, the Wildcats season came to an end in a 4-1 loss to Drury in the first round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

The Wildcats finished with a 14-4-4 overall record, producing the third most wins in a single season in the teams third-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance under head coach Jon Sandoval

Molly Pistorius was credited with the lone Wildcat goal, with Hannah Kastamo and Maria Storm picking up assists. Sally Patton made five saves in her NCAA tournament debut.

The Panthers scored three goals in the first half, including two in quick succession with under five minutes to go to stun the Wildcats going into the break. The 'Cats responded early in the second half, but were unable to find the back of the net before Drury added the fourth with under 10 minutes to play.

Drury will now play host Ashland in the second round on Sunday at 3 PM.

The Wildcats would like to thank all of the family, friends, and fans that supported the program this season, and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon.
