A Word from Shane Richardson
"Really proud of the way that we kept points off the board. When it comes down to it, that's what you want. We bent a little bit at times, but we did not break."
Last Time Out
Northern Michigan fell in a nail-biting 16-10 OT decision against the newest member of the GLIAC, Roosevelt, last Saturday in the Superior Dome.
NMU was steadfast in its commitment to a run game, running the ball on 48 of 50 (96.0%) of its plays. The offense was paced by
Jahi Wood, rushing for 120 of NMU's 201 yards.
The Wildcats found the first score of the game with a 35-yard FG from
Michael Karlen. Roosevelt scored 10 points between the second and third quarters. The Wildcats tied the game up with a QB sneak from QB
Aidan Hoard in the fourth quarter.
Roosevelt recovered a fumble from NMU in overtime and found the endzone shortly after for the win.
