MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan volleyball team continues GLIAC play this Friday and Saturday, as they take on Purdue Northwest on Friday, September 22 at 8:00 p.m. and Parkside on Saturday, September 23 at 3 p.m.
The Wildcats will look to get back on track on the road as they enter at 2-8 on the season, and 1-1 in the conference.

A Recap of Last Weekend
NMU started conference play with a five-set victory over Davenport, but then fell to Grand Valley State University on Homecoming. The 'Cats continued struggling in hitting against GVSU, as they recorded a .083 attack percentage to GV's .294.
A Look at Purdue Northwest
The Pride are 2-0 in GLIAC play, and 7-3 on the season. They are currently on a six game winning streak. The team holds a similar attack percentage (.191) as the opponents they have seen thus far (.199). Freshman outside hitter Anika Huelskamp is fourth in GLIAC in kills, and leads the attack with 114 kills and sophomore Arra Cottrell (105) and Senior Erica Brohm (62) aren't far behind.Â
On the defensive side, Livia Thomsen is fourth in the GLIAC in digs with 131, while being seventh in digs per set (3.20).Â
A Look at Parkside
The Rangers enter the weekend at 6-4 overall, with a 1-1 conference mark. They swept Saginaw Valley State before being on the wrong end of a sweep to Ferris State last weekend.Â
The team is led by sophomore Ava Irvin with 114 kills and 3.06 kills/set on the outside. Freshman Avan Fisch has also been used in the middle, racking up 82 kills so far this season. Natalee Harris and Karlee Lois lead the Rangers on defense, recording 125 and 120 kills, respectively.Â
