A Word from Coach Lozier
"Our biggest issue this last weekend was our blocking defense…we weren't getting in front of hitters as much as we should be. When you're playing teams like Davenport, you have to be ready for that ball to come back consistently and when you're playing Grand Valley, we have to learn to get in front of their hitters and slow the ball down."

Coach Lozier Interview

Cat Nips
  • The Wildcats are hitting .130% so far this season, while opponents are managing a much better clip at .272%.
  • Meghan Meyer paces the Green and Gold with 74 kills this season behind a .331 attack percentage. Rayne Thompson (60) is the only other Wildcat with more than 30 kills.
  • Senior setter Lauren Van Remortel was named to the UP Open All-Tournament team after recording 131 assists throughout the team's first four matches. She leads the team with 230 assists.
  • Freshmen have contributed early for the 'Cats, with Remi Madison notching nine kills in her first career game, Sydney Bartels recording six kills in one set, and Liesl Haugen turning in 10 digs in her second career match.
  • The Wildcats return two All-GLIAC First Teamers from a season ago in redshirt juniors Jacqueline Smith (AVCA All-America Honorable Mention) and Meghan Meyer. Setter Lauren Van Remortel is also back for a fifth season after Second Team All-GLIAC recognition a season ago.
