MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan University Football team prepares to host its final game of the season as they'll host the Northern State Wolves for Senior Day and Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, November 11. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET at the Superior Dome.

Last Weekend
The 'Cats traveled to Saginaw Valley State University, and fell 62-17. The Cats' turned the ball over four times in the first half and once in the second half, halting the offense. The Cardinals rushed for 211 yards and threw for 247, compared to the Wildcats 114 on the ground and 78 in the air.
Michael Love returned a 90-yard kickoff moments before halftime. This was the longest kickoff return of the season for the Cats'.
Brock Franklin found the endzone late in the second half on a 5-yard touchdown carry.
The loss dropped the Wildcats to 0-10 on the season, while the Cardinals improved to 5-5.
Cat Nips
- Mitch Larkin leads the conference in total tackles (107), with 56 solo and 51 assisted
- Tyquan Cox is currently third in GLIAC in all-purpose yards (735) and eighth in the GLIAC in rushing yards per game (44.9)
- Sam Peiffer is tied for eighth in the GLIAC in receiving touchdowns (3)
- Freshman linebacker Jax Hertel is tied for ninth in the GLIAC in interceptions (2)
- The Wildcats are the least penalized team in the GLIAC, averaging 4.7/game and 36.8 penalty yards/game
Notes on Northern State
Northern State enters the weekend with a 4-6 overall and 4-6 within the NSIC. The Wolves are currently on a two-game losing streak. This is the first matchup between the two programs.
Last week, Northern State lost to Augustana 31-21. The Wolves produced 433 yards of total offense in comparison to the Vikings 331. Jacob Van Landingham (QB) threw for 298 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed in another score. Hank Kraft (RB) rushed for 83 yards. Dewaylon Ingram (WR) had 11 receptions for 145 yards and two scores through the air.
