A Word from Coach Richardson
"We have a clear lens knowing that we have a lot to work on and we are in a place where we have to shift our mentality to the competitive spirit and confidence it takes to go in there and give ourselves a chance."

Last Weekend
The Wildcats traveled to Big Rapids, Michigan to take on the Bulldogs last weekend. NMU's defense had no answer for Ferris State's offense and the Cats' offense never found a rhythm Saturday as NMU dropped a 78-3 decision to the No. 1 Bulldogs at Top Taggart field.
Ferris scored on all eight drives in the first half. Northern punted the ball four times in the first half and turned over the ball three times in the half. The Wildcats would punch a 42 yard field goal in before the half to get on the board. NMU trailed FSU 55-3 at the half. The Bulldogs then continued to find the endzone three more times, along with a safety to make the final score 78-3.
The 78 points conceded ties a program-high, while FSU's 497 yards on the ground is the most an NMU football team has given up.
