How It Happened
1st Half

The Wildcats had a a great opportunity early in the half, as a Brooke Pietila free kick found the head of a Wildcat attacker in the box that was sent just wide from the Ranger goal.

The Wildcats broke through 17 minutes in, as a great run down the left side created havoc in the goalkeeper area. The 'Cats took three hits at the ball before finding goal, as Madison Bilbia was credited with the finishing touch on the Wildcat goal.

A loose ball came to the boot of Isabelle Brusilow from halfway to the 50-yard mark, and she sent a stunning strike mere inches above the crossbar and from extending the lead.

Pietila got herself another quality look for the Wildcats, as she made a good run into the box down the right side, but sent the strike just over the crossbar.

The Wildcats completely dominated play in the first half, outshooting the Rangers 13-0, including seven on target with three corner opportunities.

2nd Half
The 'Cats continued its dominant play immediately into the half, as it took the Wildcats less than two minutes to score a second. Stepahnie Trujillo played a beautiful cross into the box that found Molly Pistorius, who had an easy tap-in to extend the Wildcat lead.

The Wildcats continued to press and hold control over the match, scoring once again as a counterattack led to an odd-man rush opportunity. A rebound came to Allison Kroll, who had a yawning cage to look at to deposit the third Wildcat goal of the game.

The Rangers had an effort in the dying seconds to sneak one by goalkeeper Jillian Thompson, but she smartly came off her line to deny the chance and preserve her shutout.

The 'Cats would go on to decisively win this one, dominating in all categories across the board, by a score of 3-0.
