MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan football team fell to the Michigan Tech Huskies by a 62-0 score on Saturday night at the Superior Dome. The Huskies have now won 13 straight Miner's Cups over the Wildcats.
The Wildcats surrendered 31 points in the first half. Tech went on to score another 24 in the third and one more score in the final minute of play. Northern Michigan turned the ball over four times along with having two punts blocked in the game, struggling to get into a rhythm all night long.
Mitch Larkin continues to pace the GLIAC in tackles, adding another 14 to his total, with a pair going for a loss.
Justin Peake added another nine stops on defense.
Jeremiah Gossett added two pass breakups. NMU gave up 24 first downs in the contest while being held to a negative net-rushing game.
The defeat drops the Wildcats to 0-7 on the season, with Tech improving to 4-2 on its first GLIAC victory.
