MARQUETTE, Mich. - The NMU women's basketball team looks to keep rolling on Saturday, January 14th with a home matchup against the No. 21 ranked Michigan Tech Huskies. Tip-off will take place at 3 p.m. at the Berry Events Center.

Last Time Out
The Wildcats pulled off a pair of big GLIAC road wins a week ago, sneaking past Wayne State 56-52 and Saginaw Valley State 56-52. Against the Warriors, Taya Stevenson and Makaylee Kuhn each had 10 points to pace the 'Cats. At SVSU, NMU went on an 11-0 run to close the game. Kuhn led the attack with 17 points while Mackenzie Holzwart notched a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. 


Cat Attack
The Wildcats are 10-5 (5-1 GLIAC) this season and are tied for second in the conference standings. NMU averages 62.5 ppg while holding opponents to 57 a contest. 

NMU is led by Makaylee Kuhn with an average of 15.4 points/game and 7.5 rebounds/game. Mackenzie Holzwart averages 9.2 ppg and 5.5 rpg. She leads the team with 26 steals on the season.

The Wildcats enter the week in 10th place in the Midwest Regional poll. The Huskies are 4th and sit at No. 21 in the national poll.

The Huskies are 13-3 on the season with a 5-1 GLIAC record. They are nationally-ranked at No. 21. The Huskies average 73.0 points/game and are the top team in the conference from the free-throw line, knocking them in at a clip of 79.2%. 

Senior guard Ellie Mackay leads MTU averaging 13.7 ppg while sophomore Isabella Lenz is right behind at 13.4.
