MARQUETTE, Mich. -  The Northern Michigan University men's soccer team returns to the pitch at home for a single game this weekend as they host reigning GLIAC champions Parkside. 

The Wildcats (3-4-2, 2-2-1) entertain the Rangers (6-2-1, 3-1-1) as each team only plays once this weekend. Kickoff is slated for Sunday, October 2 at 1 p.m. from the NMU Soccer Field.

A Look at the Cardinals
Parkside is 6-2-1 and 3-1-1 in conference competition. They are receiving votes in the national poll. They are led by Marcos Calderon Jimenez with six goals and 12 points. They are outscoring teams 15-6 this season. The six goals allowed are the fewest in the GLIAC.
 

A Look at the Wildcats
NMU is 3-4-2 overall and 2-2-1 in the GLIAC. The 'Cats currently sit fourth in the GLIAC standings and are led by Tommaso Lami and Baruc Delgado who have each scored three times. 

NMU's defense has allowed the fewest shots against them in conference play (12).
