One week in, with a record of 3-1, the Wildcats sit at fourth in the GLIAC. They are tied with Davenport, Grand Valley State, and Wayne State.

Key Returners
Jacqueline Smith is back playing for the Wildcats. Smith finished third in the GLIAC and led the team in both kills per set (3.77) and total kills (381). She also led in Total attacks with 1155 and was fourth in hitting percentage with .182% last season.
All-GLIAC earners Lizzy Stark and Meghan Meyer are also back on the NMU roster. Stark and Meyer were second and third on the Wildcats in kills with 298 and 218, kills per set with 3.20 and 2.16, and all-out attacks with 844 and 508. Meyer led the team in hitting percentage with .281%, and Stark was second in digs with 251
NMU vs. Henderson State
This will be the first time the Wildcats take on the Reddies. The team currently has a record of 2-2. The match will be played on Sept. 2, at 9 a.m.
NMU vs. Kentucky Wesleyan
The teams will meet for the first time in this tournament. The Panthers defeated Henderson State last weekend, 3-0. Match time is set for Sept. 2, at 1 p.m.
NMU vs. Tiffin
The Wildcats have a 9-2 record against the Dragons. They had a six-match-winning steak against them in 2008-2021. Both teams will hit the court on Sept. 3 at 11 a.m.
NMU vs. William Jewell
The teams have only competed in one match against each other in 2016. The Wildcats claimed the victory winning 3-2. The final tournament match for the Wildcats will take place on Sept. 3 at 3 p.m.
