MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan University Men's Basketball team will be on the road this weekend to finish out the regular season as they face two of the top three teams in the GLIAC standings.
On Thursday (Feb. 24), the 'Cats will head to the eastern end of the Upper Peninsula to take on the Lakers of Lake Superior State at 7:30 p.m. To conclude the regular season schedule, NMU will head to Big Rapids on Saturday (Feb. 26), as they'll play Ferris State at 3 p.m.

The 'Cats picked up a pair of wins last weekend behind a pair of milestones reached by two Wildcats.
On Thursday,
Max Bjorklund crossed the 1,000 career points plateau in NMU's 65-53 triumph of Wayne State. Bjorklund finished with 13 points while
Carson Smith led the way with 19 points and 8 rebounds.
On Saturday, the 'Cats honored seniors
John Kerr and
Nick Wagner.
John Kerr made the most of the afternoon, surpassing 2,000 career collegiate points, helping Northern claim a 88-62 over Saginaw Valley State. Wagner paced everyone with 22 points while Kerr posted a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds.

Ben Wolf leads the way in blocks with 21 on the campaign. Parzych paces the team with 27 steals.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Lake Superior State is 16-8 overall and 11-7 in the GLIAC. Guard Malek Adams leads the Lakers attack, averaging 18.8 points per game.
Ferris State holds a 20-6 overall mark with a 15-3 record in GLIAC play. Guard Walt Kelser leads the Bulldogs with 17.7 PPG.
MATCHUP HISTORY
NMU vs Lake Superior State
Northern is 3-7 the last ten times they played LSSU. Earlier this season in Marquette, NMU dropped a close 74-72 decision.
Brian Parzych posted a career high 20 points in the game.
NMU vs Ferris State
