MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan University Men's Basketball team will be back at the Berry Events Center this week, as they welcome Wayne State on Thursday (Feb. 17) with a 7:45 p.m. tip-off. The Wildcats will then play host to Saginaw Valley State on Saturday (Feb. 19), as NMU celebrates Senior Day in the final regular season game at home.

SENIOR DAY ON SATURDAY
Northern Michigan University Athletics will honor the seniors from both the men's and women's basketball programs in between the two games on Saturday.
Nick Wagner and
John Kerr will be honored for the men while Elizabeth Lutz and Lexi Smith will be honored for the women's program.
LAST TIME OUT
The 'Cats picked up a pair of big road wins last weekend. On Thursday, Northern knocked off Grand Valley 85-81 behind 22 from
Max Bjorklund. NMU's guards registered 74 of the team's 85 points (87.1%). The Wildcats also shot 32-57 (56.1%) from the field, their best shooting performance in GLIAC competition this season.
On Saturday, NMU held on for a 81-75 win at Davenport.
Justin Brookens paced the Green and Gold with 20 points, connecting on six triples (five in the first half).

Max Bjorklund leads the team in points this season, averaging 14.9 per game.
Justin Brookens (11.9) and
John Kerr (11.7 ) are also averaging double-figures for the 'Cats.

Ben Wolf leads the way in blocks with 20 on the campaign. Parzych paces the team with 26 steals.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Wayne State is 5-14 overall and 4-12 in the GLIAC. Brailen Neely leads the Warriors averaging 13 points per contest.
Saginaw Valley State holds a 17-7 overall record and a 11-5 mark in GLIAC competition. Delano Smith paces the Cardinals, putting up 16.7 PPG.
MATCHUP HISTORY
NMU vs Wayne State
The Wildcats are 5-5 in the last ten meetings with the Warriors. Earlier this season, NMU picked up a 88-78 road win.
John Kerr had one of his best games this season, posting 21 points and 17 rebounds.
The 'Cats are averaging 61.5 per game against the Warriors.
NMU vs Saginaw Valley State
Northern is 4-6 the last ten times they played SVSU. Last month, NMU dropped a close 87-85 road decision.
