MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan University women's basketball team is set to host their first two GLIAC home games of the season.
The team will host the Ferris State Bulldogs, after the conclusion of the men's basketball game on Friday, December 9 at 7:30 p.m. They will finish the weekend by hosting the Lake Superior State Lakers on Sunday, December 11 at 3 p.m.

A Look at the Wildcats
The Wildcats are off to a 6-3 (2-0) start to the season, with back-to-back conference wins over Purdue Northwest and Parkside. The Wildcats are out scoring their opponents 570 (63.3 ppg) to 497 (55.2 ppg). They are also out rebounding their opponents 352 (39.1 rpg) to 288 (32.0 rpg)
Makaylee Kuhn is leading the team in ppg (14.9), rpg (6.7), and total assists with 27. Kuhn is also second in steals with 10 and blocks with 6.
Mackenzie Holzwart is second on the team in ppg (8.3), third in rpg (4.8), second in assists with 19, and first in steals with 16.
Abi Fraaza is third on the team in ppg (7.8), while shooting 60% from the field.

The Bulldogs are coming into the GLIAC matchup with a 6-1 (1-1) record.
Chloe Idoni is the leading scorer for the Bulldogs, averaging 19.0 ppg, while shooting 59.0 % from the field. Idoni is also adding 7.1 rpg. Kadyn Blanchard is second on the team in points, averaging 11.0 ppg, and rpg with 6.0. Mallory McCartney is third on the team in ppg with 10.7, she is also shooting 43.2% from beyond the arc. McCartney is also first on the team in apg with 4.9.
A Look at the Lake Superior State Lakers
The Lakers are coming into the GLIAC matchup with a 2-6 (1-1) record.
Mattison Rayman is averaging a double-double with 14.8 ppg, and 12.3 rpg. Both are team leads. Rayman is also averaging 1.3 blocks per game. Margot Woughter is averaging 14.4 ppg which is second on the team, and averaging 3.3 apg, which is good for first on the team. Grace Bradford is averaging 13.4 ppg, 7.9 rpg, which is second on the team, and 1.6 steals per game.
