Women's Basketball to Host Finlandia on Tuesday

MARQUETTE, Mich. - After four road games to start the season, the Northern Michigan women's basketball team is ready for the home opener, as they welcome the Finlandia Lions for a non-conference, Upper Peninsula showdown. 

The Wildcats and Lions will take to the Berry Events Center hardwood at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22.

Last Week
The Wildcats are coming off a road split, defeating Minnesota Crookston 74-64 and losing to Southwest Minnesota State 86-74. Against Crookston, Kuhn and Holzwart each had 20 points. Fraaza added 22 points against the Mustangs. 


A Look at the Wildcats
Preseason First Teamer Makaylee Kuhn leads the team in points/game (15.0) and assists/game (4.3). As a team, NMU is averaging 73.8 points/game while shooting 44.4% from the floor. The Wildcats have also been efficient from deep, knocking them in at a rate of 38.2%.
