Men’s Soccer to Play at No. 4 SVSU on Sunday

MARQUETTE, Mich. -  The Northern Michigan University men's soccer team will be on the road this weekend as they travel to SVSU to face the top GLIAC team in the Cardinals. 

The Wildcats (3-5-2, 2-3-1) visit the Cardinals (8-0-2, 5-0-1) for a single matchup at noon on Sunday, October 9. It's once again a single matchup for the 'Cats this weekend, while Saginaw Valley State is coming off a contest against Parkside on Friday.

A Look at the Cardinals

The No. 4 SVSU Cardinals are 8-0-2 this season and are first in the GLIAC at 5-0-1. Sophomore forward Jonathan Monney leads the conference with 10 goals, good for a top-5 mark in the country. 
 

A Look at the Wildcats
NMU is 3-5-2 this season with a 2-3-1 GLIAC record. They have conference wins over Upper Iowa and St. Cloud State. Tomasso Lami and Baruc Delgado each have three goals to lead the team while Cian Tunney paces the 'Cats with three assists.
