MARQUETTE, Mich. -Â After a four-game away streak NMU Volleyball is back on home court. The team will face Wayne State on Friday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m., and Saginaw Valley State Saturday, Oct. 8 at 4 p.m.Â

Key Returners
Jacqueline Smith is back playing for the Wildcats. Smith finished third in the GLIAC and led the team in both kills per set (3.77) and total kills (381). She also led in Total attacks with 1155 and was fourth in hitting percentage with .182% last season.
All-GLIAC earners Lizzy Stark and Meghan Meyer are also back on the NMU roster. Stark and Meyer were second and third on the Wildcats in kills with 298 and 218, per set with 3.20 and 2.16, and all-out attacks with 844 and 508. Meyer led the team in hitting percentage with .281%, and Stark was second in digs with 251
NMU vs. Wayne State
The 'Cats have yet to face the Warriors this season. There is a rich history between these two teams, with their first match taking place in 1975. NMU has the upper hand in the series 42-22.
NMU vs. Saginaw Valley State
The two teams will hit the court for the first time against each other this season Saturday. Last season, their record was tied 1-1. The 'Cats took the win at home. NMU has the lead in the all-time series, 61-15.Â
