Men's Soccer Prepares for Trips to St. Cloud and Upper Iowa

MARQUETTE, Mich. -  The Northern Michigan University men's soccer team will hit the road as they make GLIAC stops at St. Cloud State and Upper Iowa this weekend. 

On Friday, October 21, the Wildcats (3-6-4, 2-4-3 GLIAC) will play under the lights at 7 p.m. at St. Cloud State (3-7-3, 2-6-1). On Sunday, October 23, the Green and Gold visit Upper Iowa (1-11-2, 0-8-1) for a noon matchup.

A Look at the Wildcats
NMU is 2-4-3 within the conference with an overall record of 3-6-4.  Tommaso Lami is 4th in the GLIAC with five goals and T-3rd with 12 points.

A Look at St. Cloud State
The Huskies are 3-7-3 on the season with a mark of 2-6-1 in the GLIAC. They are led by Owen Worsdell who has scored four goals. NMU defeated SCSU 3-0 earlier this season in Marquette. 
 

A Look at Upper Iowa
The Peacocks are 1-11-2 and 0-8-1 matched up with GLIAC foes. Frider Blunck, Carson Cajuste, and Yannis Sapim all have two tallies this season. The Wildcats took care of the Peacocks 4-2 earlier in the year. 
 

Last Week
The Green and Gold tied Davenport 1-1 on Senior Day and fell to Purdue Northwest 2-0 to close out the home portion of the schedule.
