Midway Utah - The Wildcats competed in the US Cross Country Ski Championships. On day three of the competition, Jan. 6, 2022, the Women Classic 10km and Men Classic 15km were held.
Multiple skiers on the team did not compete pursuant to health and safety guidelines.
Women 10km Classic
Leading the Wildcat Women was Gretchen Haggenmiller. She finished with a time of 37:06.0 and was in the Top 25 of the FU20 Class. Lauren McCollor was 49.4 seconds behind her teammate and finished with a time of 37:55.4. She was in the top 30 of the FU20 Class.
Men 10km Classic
Kjetil Baanerud led the Wildcat Men with a time of 43:44.4 and was in the Top 25 of the MSR Class.
Xavier Mansfield, Matthew Bourne,
Daniel Streinz,
Cooper Lennox, and
Kristoffer Karsrud also competed in the race.
Former Wildcats
Rosie Frankowski, a Nordic Ski Alum, finished in the Top 10 with a time of 29:53.2. Ian Torchia, Class of 2019 and Nordic Ski Alum, finished with a time of 43:29.0 in the Men 10km Classic.
