MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan University women's basketball team has added a makeup game to the schedule and will now have two upcoming games on the road. The team has announced the matchup against Purdue Northwest originally scheduled for January 6 at home will now be played at Purdue Northwest on Monday (Jan. 17) at 2 p.m.
The Wildcats will play at Wayne State on Saturday (Jan. 15) at 1 p.m. before making the trip to Hammond, Indiana for the makeup contest with the Pride.

FRESHMAN STANDOUTS
Vivianne Jende tallied eight points in NMU's last matchup against Finlandia University. Jende is averaging 6.2 points a game, shooting just under 50% from the field.
Ana Rhude continues to be a force within the paint, recording a total of 14 blocked shots in 149 minutes of play this season. Rhude finds herself within the top five in two GLIAC categories: fifth in blocked shots with 14 and third in blocked shots per game with an average of 1.27.
Kayla Tierney comes into the matchup ranked in the top 10 for field goals attempted with a total of 60.
Taya Stevenson recorded three steals in Northern's last matchup. Stevenson has tallied seven steals in 122 minutes of play this year.
STAT LEADERS
Sophomore guard
Makaylee Kuhn continues to find herself among the best through several statistical categories, while also ranking in the top five in a majority of GLIAC statistics, most notably in points per game, with an average of 16.1. Kuhn also ranks fourth in the GLIAC, making 48.8 percent of her field goals.
Sophomore
Samantha Potter found herself on top of the stats chart in rebounds, grabbing a team high seven rebounds in NMU's last matchup.
Senior guard
Elizabeth Lutz was lights out from behind the arch, shooting 50 percent from the three-point line in the 'Cats latest matchup.
Northern ranks 11th in the nation in rebounding margin in Division II, pulling down an average of 10.5 more boards per game.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Wayne State is 3-2 in conference play and 7-3 overall. Sam Cherney is a force defensively averaging 2.7 blocks per contest for a total of 27. Cherney has a total of 116 rebounds through 10 matchups.
PNW is 4-8 on the season and 1-4 in GLIAC play.
