MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan University women's basketball team starts up conference play with two away games this weekend. First the Wildcats will travel to Northwood University on Thursday, Dec. 2, to take on the Timberwolves. Tip off is set for 6 p.m.
Northern will then travel to Michigan Technological University for a game against the Huskies on Monday, Dec 6,at 5:30 p.m.

Emily Mueller, also appearing for the Wildcats, continues to be a force defensively, averaging 7.0 defensive rebounds a game
Northern ranks in the top ten for rebound margin in the NCAA Division II for an average of 42.2 per game.
NMU VS NORTHWOOD
The Wildcats lead the Timberwolves in their overall record of 13-10, and NMU is looking to grow that winning record this weekend. In their most recent meeting, Northern split on the road at Northwood, including a close 55-53 victory over the Timberwolves.
NMU VS MICHIGAN TECH
NMU and MTU have competed against each other 39 times. Their last face off was in February 2021 where the Wildcats fell short to the Huskies. The 'Cats are looking to produce a win this coming Monday.
