MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan University volleyball team begin Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament play on Wednesday Nov. 17 against Ferris State.
The 'Cats will travel to Big Rapids and take on Ferris State University, the match is set to take place at 7:00 p.m.

STAT LEADERS
With the 'Cats going into tournament play, fans can expect big things coming from these statistical leaders.
Jacqueline Smith has remained the leader in kills per set leading with 367. Smith averages 3.74 in the category.
Caylie Barlage has taken top spot in two categories. Barlage leads in digs with 283, and remains at the top of aces per set with 52.
Team assists are led by
Lauren Van Remortel with 793, and team blocks are led by
Meghan Meyer with 42.0 blocks per game.
LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats split their most recent weekend stint, starting on Friday the 'Cats defeated Wayne State 3-2.
Lizzy Stark had an impressive night with a season-high 22 kills and 19 digs to earn a double-double. The 22 kills were just two shy of tying her career mark.
Smith added double-digit kills with 18 in the match and Barlage contributed a career-high five aces to the NMU effort.
Saturday, NMU fell to Saginaw Valley in four sets 1-3, Smith led all players for both teams with 20 kills. She also had a team-high 15 digs to secure the double-double.
Stark was next for the Wildcats in both kills (14) and digs (13) to earn herself and the NMU team another double-double.
NMU VS FERRIS STATE
The Wildcats last played Ferris State in September and ended the match with a 3-1 win against the Bulldogs.
The 'Cats have a 10-12 conference record against the Bulldogs and hope to add another win this week.
