MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan University volleyball Wildcats wrap-up conference play with two away matches this weekend.
First, the 'Cats will start in Detroit to take on Wayne State University Friday at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, the Wildcats travel to University Center to take on Saginaw Valley, the match is set to take place at 2 p.m.

STAT LEADERS
On the GLIAC leaderboard, this week fans can find two volleyball Wildcats in the top five of three different statistical categories.
Jacqueline Smith has remained in a top-five position on the conference leaderboard in three different categories.
Starting with kills per set, Smith is ranked number three with a total of 3.76 kills per set. She is also third on the leaderboard for her number of kills totaling 335 on the season so far.
Along with two other 'Cats, Smith has also found herself in the top five for service aces per set, coming in at number three with a mark of 0.46
Caylie Barlage remained at the top once again this week with a total of 0.51 aces per set.
LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats had two big wins this weekend, starting on Friday the 'Cats defeated Lake Superior State 3-0.
Lizzy Stark led the team in kills with 14, and
Jacqueline Smith pitched in 12 kills for her team as well.
Saturday, NMU defeated Northwood University 3-2,
Lizzy Stark had another 17 kills with
Jacqueline Smith right behind her with 16.
Lauren Van Remortel had a total of 80 assists this weekend to help her team win the final two home matches of the season.
NMU VS WAYNE STATE
The Wildcats have taken on the Warriors 13 times and have a 7-6 overall record against WSU. Northern hopes to grow that winning record this weekend.
NMU VS SAGINAW VALLEY STATE
NMU played Saginaw Valley earlier in the season, where the Wildcats defeated the Cardinals 3-2. The Wildcats are hoping for the same outcome in the final match of conference play.
