MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan University football team (3-7, 1-5 GLIAC) is set to host Northwood University (1-8, 0-6 GLIAC) for a Senior Day game as their Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) schedule comes to a close.

Antonio Howard Jr. led the defense with a total of 16 tackles on the day.Â
Junior back
Tyquan Cox led Northern with a total of 94 rushing yards and one touchdown. Cox had his best game of the season with season-high totals in rushing yards (94), longest rush (57), and longest reception (35). Â
QUARTERBACK PLAY
Sophomore
Drake Davis is second among GLIAC quarterbacks in passing yards for the season with 1,580. Davis also ranks in the GLIAC top five for passing touchdown (11), passing yards per game (158), and passing efficiency (121.5)

Freshman quarterback
Zach Keen contributed to the matchup as he had three completions for 49 yards. Keen also ranks in the GLIAC top ten for passing yards per game.Â
RECEIVING 'CATS
Tyquan Cox had a breakout performance for the 'Cats as he had five receptions on the day for a total of 46 yards. Cox contributed on the ground as well rushing for one touchdown and 94 rushing yards.
Freshman
Wyatt Davis was the leading Wildcat with a total of 56 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
STRONG DEFENSE
Freshman
Will Borchert ranks first in the GLIAC for defense with a total of 102 tackles, averaging 10.2 per game. Borchert had a big performance against the Cardinals racking up 15 total tackles. He ranks 12th in the nation for total tackles and in the top 20 for forced fumbles. Â Â
Senior
Andre Whitley ranks third in the GLIAC for defense with a total of 88 tackles for an average of 8.8 per game.Â
Senior
Brady Hanson held his own in the backfield racking up 11 tackles including one tackle for loss.
Sophomore
Tavion McCarthy continues to dominate on defense as he ranks in the top 15 in the nation and first in the GLIAC for passes defended. Â
Sophomore
Antonio Howard Jr. was a nightmare for the Cardinal offense as he captured a season-high 16 tackles. Â Â

NMU VS NORTHWOOD
The Wildcats come into the matchup ranked Nationally for DII in the top 10 for 4th down conversion percentage and in the top 15 for kickoff return defense. Northern and Northwood faced off earlier this year in a non-conference matchup that saw Davis throw for 195 yards. This will be the 41st matchup between the two programs.
