Box Score MIDLAND, Mich. — Although holding Northwood well below their season average point total, the Northern Michigan University women's basketball team fell to the Timberwolves, 48-40, Saturday afternoon.

FIRST HALF

Senior Jessica schultz continued her stellar shooting performance with 14 points in the first half, leading the team in the category, while adding seven rebounds to the mix.
Leading 13-11 after the first quarter, the Timberwolves would gain the narrow edge late in the half to head to the locker rooms with the Wildcats trailing by one, 24-23.

SECOND HALF
|
The women pressed hard throughout the second half but were unable to overcome the Timberwolves defense and totaled only 16 points while holding their opponent to 24.
A strong defensive effort on both sides of the court, the two teams combined for 88 points.

TRADING LEADS

Jessica schultz picked up another double-double in Saturday's loss, leading her team with 20 points, she added another 14 rebounds to her total to keep the Wildcats in the game.

The women return home after two weeks on the road for a weekend against Wisconsin-Parkside and Purdue Northwest.
