MARQUETTE, Mich. – Northern Michigan University Men's Soccer hosted Northwood University in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup but were unable to find the net as they fell to the Timberwolves 1-0.

STAT LEADERS

The Wildcats outshot Northwood, finishing with a 9-8 advantage. Senior Luca Lippert (Langen, Germany), junior Vegard Ervall (Trondheim, Norway) and freshman Ryan Palmbaum (Rocklin, Calif.) notched two shots each to lead the Wildcats.  Three others added a shot each.  

Sophomore goalkeeper Patrick Restum (Okemos, Mich.) tallied three saves.

UP NEXT

The Wildcats are now 3-6, 2-3 in the GLIAC while Northwood moves to 5-3-1, and 3-2 in the conference. NMU returns to action Sunday to host Saginaw Valley State University at Noon for another GLIAC contest.
