NMU Falls to #15 Greyhounds

MARQUETTE, Mich. --  The Lacrosse team for Northern Michigan University faced #15 University of Indianapolis in another Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup.

Freshmen Tess Kostelec (Columbia, Md./Wilde Lake) and Bianca Kinder (Haslett, Mich.) both notched goals in the first half.  Kostelec also led the team in draw controls for the night.

Freshman Emily Dvorak (Oconomowoc, Wis./Arrowhead) put one in the net in the second half. 

Indianapolis jumped out 9-0 before Kostelec scored her eighth of the season.  After two goals by the hosts, Kinder posted her ninth of the year.  The Greyhounds eventually took a 16-2 lead at the half. 

In the second half, Dvorak posted her team-high 26th of 2018 but Indianapolis scored 11 second half goals to win 27-3.

With the loss, NMU falls to 1-8 on the season and 0-6 in the GLIAC with the Greyhounds move to 8-3 and 4-2 in league play.  The Wildcats will look to bounce back Sunday by visiting GLIAC foe McKendree University.
