Wildcat Lacrosse Dispatched by McKendree

LEBANON, Ill. The Northern Michigan lacrosse team fell in its first GLIAC game to McKendree, 20-1, at Leemon Field Sunday afternoon.

The Bearcats commanded the start of the match, scoring 11 unanswered goals. Shelby Klotz netted her 26th goal of the season at the 10:17 mark to halt the scoring drought.

The Bearcats, now 5-4 (1-0 GLIAC), then scored the first half's final two goals and added another seven in the second half.

Paige Salthouse led all players with five goals. Victoria Lelo followed with four goals.

Brianna Bangle made 12 saves. The Wildcats had seven shots with four on goal while the Bearcats had 40 shots with 32 on goal.

The Wildcats, now 2-7 (0-1 GLIAC), will be back on the road to face off against Tiffin at 7 p.m. on April 7.
